The leadership and staff of COOKFOX Architects, based in New York City, are thrilled to be honored with the Firm Award from the AIA New York State. “In over 40 years in architecture, I am proud of the many buildings we’ve designed that have improved the lives of residents, students and office workers, and their communities. But I’m most proud of creating a studio of designers who want to make a better world as we collaborate on this difficult, complicated, mission-critical work every day.” said Rick Cook, founding partner of COOKFOX.  The annual award recognizes firms since 2025 that excel in creating leadership through four pillars of practice: Culture, Community, Clarity and Commitment. Other past winners have included many leading firms, among them, Caples Jefferson Architects, SHoP Architects, WXY architecture & urban design, and Architecture Research Office.
