Intern Spotlight: Merri Reed
During her second of three co-op terms through the University of Cincinnati, Merri Reed, a third-year undergraduate student and Cincinnati-area native, joined COOKFOX as an architectural intern.
Over the course of the term, Merri supported teams working on a West Palm Beach development and two Manhattan RFPs, one for a large commercial tower and another for a supertall skyscraper. Merri contributed primarily through 3D modeling in Rhino across all three efforts, while also jumping in on a wide range of miscellaneous tasks that helped keep project work moving forward. Merri also initiated and assisted with the rollout of the studio’s new 3D printer and put it to extensive use, helping bring design studies into physical form.
“My time with COOKFOX is something I will carry with me for the rest of my schooling and professional career,” Merri said. “This is a really special firm with such a unique focus on sustainability and quality of work, and the people I was lucky enough to work with have inspired and encouraged me more than I could have hoped for.”
We’re grateful to Merri for her many contributions and wish her the best as they return to UC to complete their undergraduate degree.
