“The renovation creates a deeper connection with the underlying ecology of Battery Park City and the Hudson River by using biomimetic patterns and colors inspired by the riverbank. The building’s relationships to the landscapes at Teardrop Park to the east and Rockefeller Park to the west were also strengthened by enhancing the visual connection to these gardens from the building’s amenities.”
