Kate Ives, AIA, LEED AP BD+C
Senior Associate
Kate Ives brings a deep commitment to technical excellence, sustainable practice and the power of well-organized, thoughtful design. She believes that sustainability must be inherent in every decision, from high-level design strategy to everyday documentation and on-site communication.
Since joining COOKFOX in 2011, Kate has played a central role in shaping COOKFOX’s technical and digital evolution. A former BIM Manager for COOKFOX, she led the studio’s transition from 2D workflows to a fully integrated Revit environment, built the firm’s BIM library from the ground up and continues to advance documentation standards as part of the QA/QC Committee.
Her project experience spans luxury residential, affordable and supportive housing, adaptive reuse and large-scale urban developments, including key roles on Webster Avenue in the Bronx, Park Row in Manhattan and the Daymark at Edge-on-Hudson. Earlier in her career, she worked on civic and cultural projects at H3 Hardy Collaboration Architecture, including the addition and renovation of LCT3 theater at Lincoln Center.
Kate is motivated by the evolving role of technology in the industry and sees every project as a new puzzle that invites fresh thinking about how teams communicate.
