Russell Beaumont
Associate
Russell joined COOKFOX in 2019 and brings in-depth knowledge of affordable housing strategies. He is currently supporting the design of two buildings in Manhattan: 570 Washington, a 176-unit affordable and senior housing project, and 80 Clarkson, mixed-income condos. Both are part of a completed ULURP (Urban Land Use Review Procedure) to create a new residential community in Hudson Square. He most recently managed the design of 378 West End Avenue, a rehabilitation and new construction of residences in the landmarked West End Collegiate Historic District. In addition to his design work, Russell is heavily involved with studio efforts in Design for Freedom, which supports an ethical and transparent material supply chain and slave-free labor.
Prior to joining COOKFOX, Russell built upon his affordable housing experience at Curtis + Ginsberg Architects, an affordable housing practice in New York. While there, Russell worked on multiple Passive House projects and a ULURP for a one million SF development.
