Spencer joined COOKFOX in 2015 and has primarily worked on 512 West 22nd Street, a black terracotta-clad commercial tower along the High Line that prioritizes biophilia in the modern workplace. He brings in-depth knowledge of innovative sustainability strategies and extensive experience with the intricacies of the design process. In addition to his design work, Spencer is the resident beekeeper of COOKFOX, managing the 100,000+ honeybees and other native pollinators that inhabit the studio’s verdant terraces.

Prior to joining COOKFOX, Spencer orchestrated large-scale installation designs in collaboration with Austin+Mergold and managed both commercial and residential projects during his time at EFGH. He draws inspiration from the exploration of materials and the process of creation. In his free time, he explores form and function through ceramics, lighting and furniture design.

As COOKFOX's beekeeper, I enjoy checking on our beehives and educating studio members about the urban habitats of our pollinators.
